Winter has us in its grip...............

I'm falling way behind on my training schedule for Phebes. If something doesn't give---The Chicken Chase may turn into a training ride for us, or I may have to wait for Top of the Rock. Another weekend of training will be lost as ice storms to be followed by snow move in. When I went out to the barn to turn out the horses the "tick tick tick" of the freezing rain had started. We are expecting up to six inches of snow by tomorrow. That darned Groundhog saw his shadow too. More winter weather to come I fear. ~E.G. (who will be web surfing instead of riding)

  1. We woke up to 3 inches of new snow, more falling. Next, our temps drop again. Sigh... You're not alone! :)

  2. It's just rain here, for now. It did do a little freezing rain, sleeting, snow for just the 20 minutes I was out feeding the horses. Now it's back to raining. We are supposed to get 2 to 4 inches. Amazing what being just an hour south difference can make.

Oh, and I got my running bear order. The quick bridle with halter in red. And the red is very much a match with the hoof boots. Close enough anyway. I like it. Need to use it. I'm planning on riding Sunday and maybe tomorrow too if it quits raining/snowing in the morning. Nothing too far, but at least a short ride.

Now I could use a red skito pad.... Hmm gonna have to wait on that one though.
