Will that lovely ground eating trot become more consistent over time?
Journey travels at a good little clip when she is feeling motivated. She is not to the point that she lasts all that long, but when she cuts loose with that big trot it gives me hope.

It took Rose about a year or two to really build a consistent 8-9 mile an hour trot that she could keep all day but it is definitely something you can train them to develop. Last year when we were competing and riding a lot I'd have to watch as she tried to pull crazy 10-12 mph ones and that's just too fast for when she could have been doing a nice canter instead.
