Loved the article; have been meaning to read it. I truly believe the last paragraph, about humans breeding the important stuff out of horses (all domestic animals), because I have noticed a lot of differences between our mustangs and my daughter's domestic, even though her horse was ranch raised and out 24/7.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed a huge difference in fly bites by color; the bay and grulla are attacked more often than my 2 grays, by the larger biting flies. The striping is interesting. The grulla has stripes on his legs in the summer and never has bites there. A zebra sheet would be cool!
