We had a visitor at the barn this morning. An eastern box turtle in this case a female (her eyes are brown vs. red for male) was making the long trek across the barnyard. This animal is protected here in Indiana. Though not yet on the endangered list, numbers are dwindling here in the hoosier state. It is illegal to collect them from the wild and in the Kingdom of Mare we turn them around and point them back towards their natural habitat, the woods.
Other wildlife was in abundance as well.
Phebes with her morning mash dried on her nose.
The Spotted Wonder ready to roll out of the stall post breakfast.
Pretty blooms on the porch.
I have determined that I WILL RIDE MY HORSE TODAY.
