It was just almost perfection tonight. We just need this kind of pace consistently and stretched out a few more miles. She did interfere once and nicked her left hind pastern. Will have to keep an eye on that and I will try a more complete coverage sport boot back there vs. the brushing boots I had on her. Attitude was good. Work ethic was like a bulldog, just digging right in and hanging with the pace. We did six 1.76 mile laps/ 8.8 miles with a 6.5 mph speed average . Next week we will try to ease on up to our 10 mile steady-eddie conditioning goal. Then we will have about 13 weeks to try to better our time.
