This is the storm that hit our neighboring town HOLTON, IN

The funnel cloud moving into Holton, IN.  what you see under the brown funnel is no longer standing.  It was a massive super cell tornado.


Indiana Trail Rider's Association, Pekin Saddle Club, and Daniel Boone Distance Riders are networking to try to get into the forestry areas hit by the Henryville, IN tornado.  People are not being allowed access into any of these areas unless they have reason to be there.  Barb Ferguson is working with the DNR to obtain work permits so teams can go out and assess trail damage and begin the massive project to restore parts of the trail system that sustained massive damage.  Hoping that something can be done this weekend along those lines, should know by tomorrow.


Word I got by email is that The Chicken Chase will be canceled though I've not seen an "official" report of this.  Top of the Rock which is held in the same area of the Clark State Forest is up in the air at this point.  It will depend on how long it takes to clear these areas, and how many bodies are willing to volunteer for the project.  If you were planning either of these two Indiana rides please stay in contact with the ride managers for accurate information, or check the AERC.org website's ride calendar for official information.
