Nope, that is a picture of the horse that won the National Ride in the fall. I was up there snapping pictures. I was entertaining myself last night playing with photos.
ReplyDeleteOh, so that's King Ali Gold. Valerie Kanavy's horse. His sire is Egyptian. Look at that dish on his head. He looks like he's all business in that photo. How tall was he do you think?
ReplyDeleteMichelle, he was tall and lanky. I'd guess very well over 15 hands. I know his withers were OVER my head! I don't know how they breed the Arabs so big these days. Back in the seventies you were lucky to find one over 14.2, and arabians were little dinky things, like my Phebes or smaller.
