An App for That
With a little fishing around I've learned that there are approximately 90 Appaloosas competing in Endurance sport (at least by the figures in 2012). What is not as well known is that there was a period when the Appaloosa horse was fairly prevalent in the sport, and the App/Arabian cross was even considered "nearly an ideal." I noticed by the figures that a high percentage of the those horses competing in my count are in the Northwest, with a smattering of Appys in the Midwest and other regions.
If you are riding an Appaloosa I urge you to give the distance sports a try. You might just determine that you indeed have "An App" for that ☺
